Full-color process tri-fold brochure for The Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA. Customer presented a rough mock-up and wanted the layout re-designed by our in-house art department using existing elements provided by the customer.
DePaul School for Hearing and Speech 116 page 8.5" x 11" Anniversary Book - This hard cover, perfect bound book chronicles DePaul through the years in a historical narrative and pictorial overview commemorating their Centennial Celebration.
Marvelous images were retrieved from DePaul's archives, scanned, and incorporated into the inside pages. Binding was applied to the short edge, making this a unique "coffee table" book. (All layout, design and printing done by Allegra Pittsburgh.)
Above is the front of a capabilities brochure done for H&K Equipment. The folded, 8.5 x 11", 4-page brochure was printed in process color and varnished afterwards. Below is the inside spread of the same brochure. The theme of the customer's logo was carried over from the outside of the piece to the interior layout. With so much text used, care was needed to make sure that the copy, logos, and photos were all balanced for a legible layout.

Here are some examples of high school sports programs we can do for you to make your school events pop! These are for the Bishop Canevin High School Fall, Winter and Spring Sports Programs highlighting the graduating seniors for each sport. They are all done as short-run, digital printing jobs. The covers are full color, with the inside pages being black and white. The layouts and designs are all done here at Allegra Pittsburgh.
Below is the cover and two inside spreads to the Allegheny County Bar Association's popular children’s book, That Is No Joke! The illustrated book, geared for students in grades K-5, teaches children the difference between a good joke and a bad one, why making fun of others is wrong, and why it is our differences that make us special.
The book was written by Tom Loftus, Director of Marketing and Media Relations for the bar association. The illustrations were done by Christopher Mikolajczyk, an artist, designer and pre-press specialist here at Allegra Pittsburgh. The artwork was done in pencil by hand, inked, then scanned into Photoshop where each illustration was colored digitally.
The book won a 2008 Luminary Award for Communications Excellence offered by the National Association of Bar Executives.
